Riding-saddles; fastening. -The side-bars a of a saddle are twisted longitudinally, so that the forward end a<1> lies at a greater inclination than the rear end a<2>, and the arches b, b<1> are pivoted to flat portions of the side-bars in such a manner that the front and rear pivots are in alinement. The front arch b is inseparably hinged to the side-bars. The rear arch is supported by struts f. The side flaps h are mounted on studs g, and the girth k is connected to the side-bars by means of two straps i, i<1>, pivoted at one end to a metal plate k<1> on the girth, and, at the other end, the strap i is connected to the side-bar directly, the strap i is connected thereto through a buckle l.
