Improvements relating to space-heating equipment
Реферат: 764,280. Space-heating equipment. BENTELER-WERKE AKT.-GES. WERK NEUHAUS. Feb. 2, 1955 (Feb. 9, 1954; May 7, 1954], No. 3132/55. Class 64(2) A heating element for space-heating equipment comprises thin-walled flow conduits of small diameter through which a vaporous heat carrier circulates, the conduits being in laterally spaced parallel relationship and being connected over at least part of their length by a thermally conductive bridge, the conduits and bridge being integrally formed. The element may be formed as shown in Fig. 2, in which a strip of iron or steel is bent and welded so as to form a longitudinally slotted pipe and is then compressed to form two conduits 9' interconnected by a bridge portion 8. Alternatively, the element may be formed as shown in Fig. 7 in which the longitudinal edges 17 of the strip are bent and welded to the middle portion of the strip to form the flow conduits, the corrugations 18 being provided to stiffen the construction. The remaining Figures illustrate various ways in which the flow conduits 9 of the heating elements may be included in a space-heating system (or "radiator"). The elements are bent into U-shape and the conduits may be connected to a single distribution pipe 13 as shown in either Fig. 5 or Fig. 11. In other arrangements, the heating elements are connected between a pair of distribution pipes (as shown in Figs. 10 and 12) which are in turn connected to the flow and return pipes of the heater system. In the modification shown in Fig. 6, the heating element is bent into a zig-zag shape and is adapted to be connected to the flow and return pipes of the system via two distribution pipes. As shown in Fig. 14, two heating elements 7a and 7b may be connected together by forming the bridge portions 8 of the elements with depressions 22 and welding the corresponding depressions of the two elements together.
