Реферат: 537,781. Seals. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Nov. 28, 1939, No. 30966. Convention date, Jan. 13. [Class 146 (ii)] A snap fastener intended to be releasable only by destruction, and shown as applied tc an admission tab 1 to be secured in the button-hole of a dance-hall patron and for like uses comprises a socket member 4 of frustroconical form with a preferably integral dome cover 5 having prongs 6 forced through one limb of the tab 1 and clinched, and a stud comprising a base 7 with attachment prongs 9, the stud shank having a pair of spring arms 8 of arched cross-section and with projections 10 near their free ends presenting socket-engaging shoulders towards the base 7. In fastened position the opposed edges of the arms remain in contact to give mutual support either at their free ends or, as in Fig. 14, at an intermediate point 15. The shank is passed through an aperture in the other limb of tab 1, the prongs 9 piercing the material of the tab and then being clinched. The length of the stud shank is chosen to suit requirements. In Fig. 2 the length is such that the space between the tab limbs is filled by the garment material to prevent tampering, but an application to the ends of a band to be secured round an article is described in which the shank is short so that, when the stud is snapped into the socket the overlapping ends of the band are in contact.
