[Class 75 (i).] The wick tube of an oil burner is provided with an open-topped tubular extension 4 forming a vaporizing chamber. Air is admitted to the vaporizing chamber just above the wick through a row of perforations 5 and the mixture is ignited at the top of the extension. The extension 4 may be separate from the wick tube, rack and pinion adjusting means 6, 7 being provided. A cap may be placed over the extension when the burner is not in use.
