A continous web of paper or light card stock is provided with uniform feed holes along its longitudinal edges and transverse tear lines at regular spacings along the web, an adhesive spot between each pair of tear lines serving to removably secure a stiff plastics card. Fig. 1 illustrates such a web with feed holes 16 and transverse rear lines 12; areas 26 are printed with various items of information. Adhesive spots 14 are placed between each pair of tear lines 12, and a small or wallet-size stiff plastics card 15 such as a credit card or identification card is stuck thereon, area 24 being provided with further printed instructions, headings &c. In use, the spots 14 and already printed cards 15 are uniformly positioned and stuck on the printed web; the web is then passed through an addressing machine, in which individual names and addresses &c. are imprinted on areas 25 of cards 15. The web is then burst along lines 12 to form separate postcards, each of which carry an imprinted plastics card 15. The complete postcard is despatched to a consumer who removes the plastics card for its designed further use.
