Improvements in gas pressure regulators

In a gas pressure regulator having its valve 4 actuated by a loaded diaphragm 3, the annular discharge conduit 7 is formed between the inlet conduit 8 ending in a valve seat body 5, and the casing 1<SP>1</SP> and a bell-shaped deflector 9 is connected to the diaphragm to overlap the seat body and form a throttling gap 10 therebetween. In order to prevent the regulated pressure characteristic dropping with increasing loading of the diaphragm the increased flow of gas through the gap 10 produces a reduced pressure in the space 21 below the diaphragm 3 to open the valve more and thus maintain the regulated pressure. The inlet and outlet pipes are concentric and the former carries a resilient disc seat- 6. Casing dimple 12 prevents the blle contacting the valve seat body.
