The proposed method, although based on the known reaction of the interaction of halogenaphthalene tetracarboxylic acids with amines, allows, however, to obtain new compounds on the basis of which better and cheaper dyes are obtained for chemical fibers. The method consists in the fact that 2-halogenated naphthalene-1,4,5,8-tetracarboxylic acid or its dianhydride is treated with t primary aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic amine in an organic acid medium, such as acetic acid, at 50-120 ° C, followed by separation of the target product by known techniques.
