Реферат: The fuel injection system is for high powered engines, esp. where free piston generators are used, i.e. multi-tandem types. The system is also esp. applicable to the use of heavy liquid fuels. The injector is based on a hydraulically driven piston providing a metered quantity of fuel supplied by a separate pump. The injector itself is fed via a valve. The hydraulic pressure is much greater than that provided by the fuel pump. The viscosity of heavy fuels is overcome by placing the injection pump close to the injector. The pump has three stages, one metering the fuel, the second (39) generating the injection pressure and the third (49) regulating the fuel to the injectors. The pump is terminated in a medium pressure stage (55) discharging a reservoir (37), with a, possibly electromagnetically operated, sensor (57) initiating electronic control (58) of the actuator (54).
