Реферат: In the time multiplexer for binary pulse trains, incoming messages (1-4) are applied to control circuits (5-8) in order to modulate optical sources (9-12) which comprise semi-conductor lasers or electro luminescent diodes. The luminous signals are transmitted via optical fibres (13-16) of related lengths with supplementary lengths provided by coiling (14A-16A). The optical fibres provide time delays for application of the signals to an optical mixer (17) to provide a multiplexed output signal (22) for transmission along an optical fibre (23). This signal can be converted to an electrical signal by a photodiode detector and amplifier. The multiplexer may be used for data transmission or a telephonic system.
