Alarms operated by fusible devices.-Relates to electric fire-alarms for connexion to bellpushes, of the kind comprising a weighted lever 3, Figs. 2 and 4, pivoted at 2, and normally supported by a fusible plate 9 inserted in an aperture in a cover 10. The lever 3 is electrically connected to one of the terminals at the back of the base-plate 1 by a number of fine flexible wires 7, which are soldered to the back of the lever 2 in such a way as not to impede its rocking movement, and are passed through the base-plate 1 and clamped under a metal plate 4. The forward end of the pivot pin 2 is of increased diameter to form a bearing for the lever 3 of such a length as to avoid the binding of the head of the pivot pin upon the lever when the pin has been screwed in position and locked by a nut 5. A leg 8, secured to or forming part of the lever 3, and resting upon the fusible plate 9, is formed of a metallic plate provided with a contact 11 adapted to bear against a contact post 12 when the plate 9 is fused.
