Nickel catalyst prepn - by reacting nickel halide with a reducing metal
Реферат: Reaction is effected in the presence of a flux of ionised molten salts (I), esp. alkali Al double halides. The reducing metal is esp. Al used at e.g. a rate of 1g-atom/mole of alkali halide (II). (II) is pref. a low melting eutectic of e.g. LiCl and KCl (m.pt. 352 degrees C) or of LiBr and KBr (348 degrees C). (I) is e.g. Nao.766Ko.233AlCl4 m.pt. 135 degrees C or LiAlCl4 m.pt. 145 degrees C. The Ni powder produced is not pyrophoric.
