Fire-resistant building panels or partitions - of aluminium covered nonwoven glass board opt. bonded by melt adhesive coatings
Реферат: Laminated panels for building construction have a layer of non-woven fibres of non-combustible material covered on each face with aluminium foil having a glossy external face. Pref. the non-woven fibres are of glass and the covering foils are bonded to the core by a melt adhesive which is an olefin polymer ro copolymer. Opt. a layer of glass mesh is interposed between the core and one or both foil covers. In a pref. structure, the foil is 7-25 mu m thick, the non-woven core weighs 20-120 g/m2, the glass mesh has square openings 6-20 mm across and the melt adhesive is applied at a loading of 10-30 g/m2 on each interface. The aluminium foil may be pretreated with a 1 g/m2 coating of a vinylchloride-vinylidene chloride blend to enchance adhesion. For use as fire-resistant panels or partitions, due to heat reflection and to the resistance of the non-woven core to flame penetration.
