Реферат: In a colour television receiver circuit comprising a cathode-ray tube 7 the screen of which incorporates (a) strips for producing an indexing signal of frequency fi which is applied to a frequency divider 4, and (b) " run-in " strips for producing a signal of frequency fo which is applied to cause the divider to operate in the correct phase, means are provided for establishing a minimum value of beam current during a line scan, so that in the absence of a video signal there is sufficient current to ensure the continuous operation of the frequency divider, and for producing a value of beam current during at least a part of the " run-in " interval which is substantially higher than said minimum value. Valve 11 forms a part of the frequency divider 4 and during the interval when the divider is operating, i.e. during the interval t 1 to t 2 in Fig. 3, it is biased negatively by rectifiers 13, 14 so that a potential change is produced across anode load 16, 17 as shown in curve c. Valve 19 is biased to cut-off by line flyback pulses and produces a potential change in the same load as shown in curve b. The resulting combined signal is as shown in curve a and is applied to cathode 10 of tube 7 which is otherwise biased so that beam cut-off occurs at level 21. The tube beam is accordingly (1) cut-off during the fly-back interval t 2 -t 3 , (2) established at a predetermined minimum during the line interval t 1 -t 1 , and (3) established at a substantially higher value during the " run-in " interval t 3 -t 1 . The magnitude of the higher value is determined by selection of resistors 16 and 20. In a second embodiment, Fig. 6 (not shown), the signal from valves 11 and 19 is applied through an inverter stage to control a gate stage through which the combined monochrome and chrominance signal is applied to the cathode-ray tube grid. The operation is such that the gate is cut-off during the " run-in " interval and a pulse of appropriate amplitude established in the video signal. The cathode-ray tube is blanked at the cathode by a circuit which establishes the desired minimum value of current during the line interval. A third embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown) is identical with that shown in Fig. 1 of Specification 1,026,128. Specification 975,622 is referred to in connection with details of the frequency divider. Specification 1,026,126 is referred to in connection delay requirements of the circuit. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 926,183 and 954,941.
