Disclosed is a method for preparing a carbon-metal composite in which graphene oxide is reduced, a process of hybridizing graphene formed by reduction or carbon nanotube with metal can be simplified, the process can be implemented with less time and under mild conditions, and the resistance of a carbon-metal composite can be decreased. The method for preparing a carbon-metal composite comprises the following steps: a) reacting a composition containing a carbon compound selected from the group consisting of 0.01-50 wt% of graphene, graphene oxide, and carbon nanotube, 0.01-50 wt% of metal precursor, 0.5-20 wt% of reducing agent, and 1-99 wt% of dissolvent; and b) removing a part or all of a dissolvent from the composition which has been reacted, wherein the reducing agent is selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, 1,2-propylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, 1,3-propylene glycol, glycerol, and the mixture thereof.
