Process and apparatus for the manufacture of seamless bottle-shaped hollow bodies, particularly from thermoplastic or phenoplastic material
Реферат: 755,177. Making hollow plastic articles. CHEMICA AKT.-GES. Aug. 24, 1954 [Aug. 24, 1953], No. 24657/54. Class 87 (2) A preform is injection-moulded in a mould that contains a retractable hollow shaft, and then the shaft is retracted to allow the preform to be blown, in the same mould into the shape of a bottle. Fig. 1 shows apparatus in which a preform 13 (shown heavily shaded) is made by injection through a passage 4 into a space defined by mould parts 1, 2, a hollow shaft 5a and a central blowing tube 8. After injection a valve 11 on the tube is opened to admit compressed air from bore 9 into the interior of the preform to expand it, the shaft 5a being raised against the pressure of a spring 6 until it reaches an abutment 12. Fig. 2 shows a modification in which the shaft 5a is replaced by a shaft 5h that is spaced from the mould walls and is raised and lowered by a crosshead 7 and rods 7<1>.
