Реферат: The subject of the invention is a side wall for the box body of a lorry or trailer of a lorry, which consists of a folding wall which forms its lower part and of a lifting wall which forms its upper part and is also automatically actuated when the folding wall opens and closes and which is inserted flat under the roof of the box body when raised, guided with upper rollers in guide rails on the box body. In order to control the lifting wall, two double-armed control levers which are mounted on the box body via a swing lever are provided with one long and one short lever arm, which levers are coupled with their long lever arm to the lifting wall near to its lower edge and the short lever arm of which engages on the connecting bar which is coupled to the folding wall at a distance from its folding axis, is borne with a roller provided on it in a guide rail which is provided on the box body and is arranged in such a way that when swivel drive, originating from the folding wall, is exerted on the control levers via the connecting bars, the power arm at the control levers changes in the same direction as the power arm at the folding wall. As a result, opening and closing actuation of the side wall is ensured with a relatively low expenditure of force. <IMAGE>
