On the longitudinal walls of the chamber 1 are mounted eddy 8, made in the form of inclined plates (see Fig. 2), arranged in rows along the movement of the product with alternating directions of inclination, for example, in a checkerboard pattern. The device is operated as follows. The workpiece 9, for example cut fabric, is continuously fed through the center of the chamber 1 at the bottom and retracted from the top. A fluidizing agent, such as heated gas, is supplied to the chamber through an air duct, the speed of which in slit neck 6 is sufficient to prevent granular heat carrier 2 from spilling out from chamber 1. Heat carrier 2 is intensively mixed and transfers heat from the ventilating gas and fabric heaters.
