Contents, viewing; contents, facilitating access to. - Show cases, adapted for displaying biscuits in their original packages, and pastry and other articles, are arranged with movable receptacles, in which the manufacturer may pack his biscuits &c. at the factory. The retailer substitutes movable glass plates 22 for slides, and places .the receptacles 6 in a case, whence the biscuits are easily removed from behind. The receptacles are preferably made of matched boards, Fig. 6, and are provided with channels 21 in the top 19 and bottom 20 and also down the sides to hold the glass plate 22. This plate is securely locked when the movable strip 24 is placed in position. The rear of the receptacle 6 is closed by sliding panels 26, 27, the upper one being preferably provided with a finger recess, and held in its normal position by a short stick resting on a ledge formed by the bottom 20. The receptacles 6, which are practically air and dust proof, are intended for one and two pound packages of biscuits.
