Реферат: 17,032. M³llers, A. Aug. 22. Winding-machines; stop-motions. -In a slit drum winding - machine, the delivery bobbins a are arranged above the drum and the receiving - bobbins s below it. The yarns pass from the bobbins a over rollers D on the balanced frame E, and through the eyes of detector wires C to the drum. The drum is carried by a frame H, which is held in the working position shown in full lines by a prop h, the foot of which is engaged by the extremity of a bent lever g connected by the lever G and rod F with the balanced frame E. When an end breaks, the corresponding detector lever C falls, and is struck by the rotating wiper B, turning the frame E on its axle e and through the rod F and lever G removing the end of the lever g from the foot of the prop h. The drum now falls by its own weight, or through the action of a weighted cord against a brake K which stops its rotation. The bobbin S is carried by a weighted frame 0, and, when the drum falls against its brake, a blade N, connected with the frame H by a rod L and lever M, is pushed between the drum and the bobbin, immediately stopping the latter. The bobbin holder 0 carries a catch p, which, when the bobbin is moved away from the drum, engages with the frame and holds the bobbin in the withdrawn position until it is automatically released by the chain v, when the drum is withdrawn from its brake K. When the thread is tightened and the drum drawn forwards, the parts resume their working positions automatically. The bobbin may be moved away from the drum and against a brake by suitable connections with the rod F, or the drum may be fixed in position and the brake K and the blade N be both operated from the rod F. The thread-guide may be made to slide as described in Specification No. 4568, A.D. 1897, and used also as a blade for separating the bobbin and drum ; in this case the bobbin is situated above the drum. The balanced frame E or other suitable part of the stop-motion may be connected with the tension pulley of the band which drives the drum, so as to slacken the band when an end breaks.
