Реферат: A molten salt nuclear reactor has a core consisting of at least one salt of a fissile element, opt. with other salts added for the lowering the fusion temp. of the mass. This mass also contains a substance of low neutron section, partic. Mg, Rb, Cs or K which does not cause a chemical reaction or form an azeotrope with the molten salt, and has a b.pt. at atmospheric pressure above the operating temp. of the mass of molten salt. Means are provided for collecting the substance in the vapour state above the molten salt mass, so as to condense it in the prim. heat exchanger and return it as liq. to the molten salt material. Magnesium is a pref. additive since it has a high heat of vaporisation (ca.1337 cal/g) permitting a substantial heat transfer e.g. 3000 MW at moderate flow rate (476 kg/sec/ca.320 litres/sec. liq. Mg).
