Реферат: The filter, responsive to frequencies within a preset pass-band, has a magnetostrictive resonator, and input and output coil windings which are magnetically completely separate. The magnetostrictive resonator is formed by an elongate permanently magnetised ferrite bar (1), e.g., of rectangular section, which has a through bore (2, 3) at either end, around which a respective winding (4, 5) is passed. Only the mechanical vibrations propagating through the magnetostrictive resonator allow a signal to be transferred between the input and output winding, such that the passband frequency is set by the resonance frequency of the magnetostrictive resonator.
