Реферат: Increasing the mol. wt. of conj. diene polymers or copolymers prepd, from monomers contg. at most 0.2% wt. acetylene or alkene impurities, and polymerised with the acid of a metal from group (Ia), or an organometal cpd. from groups (a), or (IIa), comprises forming a mixture of the living polymn. system, and (I) an active-polar ether cpd., tert-amine or poly-tert-amine, and (II) one or more active cpd. contg. labile groups. (I) may be present during polymn. or added when polymerisation is practically complete. (I) is pref. diethyl ether, tetrahydrofurane, tetrahydropyrone, dihydropyrane, diethylene glycol dimethyl ether, an N-alkylethylenepolyamine, an N-alkylpolypropylenepolyamine or a tetramethylethylenediamine.
