Реферат: An aerogel of plate-shaped carbon is stabilised by an electrically non-conductive, inorganic fleece-like fibrous material and made hydrophobic by silylation. Also claimed is a process for producing the carbon aerogel comprising forming a smooth surface on the carbon plate using a suitable mould whose surfaces have been wetted with silicone oil as a separating agent.
