Taximeter having a stamping mechanism
Реферат: 1312084 Taximeters ABU AB 23 June 1970 [24 June 1969] 30489/70 Heading G4T A taximeter has several register mechanisms and is arranged to print the information given on a sheet-like record carrier inserted through an opening in the casing of the taximeter when manual operating means including a snaprelease spring drive are actuated to effect stamping of the record carrier against printing means carried by the register mechanisms, the carrier being released for withdrawal after printing. In the embodiment described all the register mechanisms are advanced step-wise. The total distance and paid distance registers, 8 and (7), are advanced stepwise by an annular cam 31 which acts on pivoted angled rod 27 (see also Fig. 1, not reproduced). The paid distance register (7) is disconnected when the taximeter is set "for hire" by pivoting a resilient hook 21 into the path of advancing pin 23 and engaging it therein (see also Fig. 4, not reproduced). The drive to cam 31 is disconnected when the vehicle is reversed. Printing mechanism.-Associated with each register mechanism is a stamp arm freely mounted on a common shaft 53, Fig. 3, and carrying a pressure pad 95 and counterweight 63 at the end adjacent the register mechanism. The record carrier 91 consists of two sheets of paper separated by carbon paper and is inserted though a slot 93. An operating arm 75, Fig. 2, is pivoted on the casing 17 and carries a pivotally mounted arcuate arm 81, which extends through a slot 83 and abuts a spring arm 67, fixed to the square end 65 of shaft 53. A similar spring arm (66) is mounted on the opposite end of shaft 53, and the two spring arms are connected by a shaft 67 (see also Fig. 1, not reproduced). Arm 81 is urged anti-clockwise by a spring 85 bearing against arm 75 and a projection 87. When arm 75 is swung in the direction indicated, arm 81 rotates swing arm 67 clockwise, which moves shaft 69 to the left, as shown in Fig. 3, and tensions spring 71. The stamp arms 57 are also moved clockwise by springs 95 attached to shaft 69 and a narrow shaft 97 positioned in holes 99 of the stamp arms. As the arm 75 is swung the arcuate arm 81 is acted on by the end of slot 83 and disengages from spring arm 67 allowing the spring arms to be returned by the springs 71 until they rest against rubber pads 89, Fig. 2. The stamp arms 57 accompany this movement and after the spring arms have been stopped strike the printing wheels of the registers by virtue of the kinetic energy of the counterweights 63.
