Loom shuttle-changing mechanism.-Relates to means for automatically removing loose ends of weft from the shuttle box after a change of shuttles has been effected. A hook 21 is oscillated by connection with the heald-roller shaft 20 as shown, and, at the beat-up of the lay, engages with the loose end in the shuttle box, draws it past a guidepin 23, and lays it on to an intermittently-moving band of card clothing 6. The band 6 is carried upon rollers 8, 9, of which the upper one is extended on each side of the band and covered with card clothing, while the lower one is intermittently rotated through a quarter of a revolution, at each beat-up of the lay, by reason of a hook 12 engaging with pins or projections 11 on the side of the roller, a spring 24 ensuring that the roller shall rotate only to the desired extent at each reciprocation of the lay.
