Реферат: Apparatus and method for providing a set of channel input symbols and apparatus and method for providing a plurality of information bits Abstract An apparatus for providing a set of channel input symbols comprises a processing unit for encoding a plurality of information bit, the processing unit being operative for providing a set of processed values, means for providing channel capacity information indicating an achievable number of information bits per channel input symbol, and means for differently processing a number of successive sub-sets of processed values, wherein the number of successive sub-sets of processed values results in the number of processed values, to provide the set of channel input symbols using the channel capacity information, wherein the means for differently processing is operative to apply a different processing scheme to each sub-set of processed values, wherein the processing scheme for a sub-set of processed values is dependent on the channel capacity information. Therefore, an efficient exploitation of a communication bandwidth can be achieved.
