CHARGING APPARATUS

A charging apparatus (1) is configured by being provided with: a power receiving unit (70), which is provided with a rectifier (5), receives alternating current power (2), and converts the power into direct current power; a power storage device (7), which stores direct-current power; a DC-DC converter (6), which can perform bidirectional power flow control, i.e., charge control with respect to the power storage device (7) using output of the rectifier (5), and control of discharge from the power storage device (7); and a control unit (10), which controls operations of the power receiving unit (70) and the DC-DC converter (6). An output voltage of the rectifier (5), and an output voltage of the DC-DC converter (6) to be applied to an output terminal of the rectifier (5) when the power storage device (7) is discharging power are set to different voltages.
