Drawing-frames stop-motions.-In drawing and doubling frames, when a sliver breaks or a can runs empty, a pivoted detector 4, which is normally depressed by the sliver, turns so as to lower an arm 6 suspended therefrom between a fixed bar 7 and a bar 10, which is normally rooked by arms 9 from a spring escapement bracket 13 oscillated from an eccentric 14. The rocking of the bar 10 being thus arrested, the arms 9 and the bracket 13 suspended from one of them are held stationary, and the eccentric rod 12 slides through the bracket, against the action of the spring 26. In this movement, a collar 12<A> on the rod turns a bell-crank lever 14<A> pivoted to the bracket, whereby a pivoted lever 16 is tilted to disengage a collar 21 on the strap-fork frame 19. A tension spring 18 fixed to the collar and to the machine frame then reacts and moves the strap-fork frame to shift the driving- belt on to the loose pulley.
