Реферат: 1,266,420. Treatment of municipal refuse. BLACK CLAWSON CO. 2 April, 1969 [5 April, 1968; 1 July, 1968 (3)], No. 17367/69. Heading C1B. A method of treating and handling municipal refuse, which can include garbage and other organic materials, paper and other fibrous materials, metal objects and materials, glass, and other frangible and infrangible objects and materials, to effect sorting of said refuse into different categories for further treatment or disposal is illustrated with reference to Figures and comprises the steps of (a) depositing the refuse in a container 11 (part of 10) with an aqueous liquid preferably at least part of which is liquid derived from municipal sewage (via line 75), (b) subjecting the mixture to agitation by mechanical and hydraulic shear forces (rotor 20) to cause defibering of fibrous refuse and disintegration or reduction of other organic and inorganic refuse and to compact some of the metal objects and materials and other refuse which is not disintegrated by the agitation; at the same time stringy type material may be removed by ragger 40, (c) extracting from the container through a screen of suitably sized perforations the fibrous and other disintegrated or reduced refuse, and some of the aqueous liquid, in the form of a pumpable slurry, (d) separating from the extracted slurry at least the major portion of the hard particulate materials (by cyclones 102), (e) removing from the container (by junk remove 50), separate from said slurry, the compacted objects, materials and other refuse which do not pass through the screen, (f) and delivering the separated slurry and hard particulate materials from stage (d) and the refuse removed in step (e) for further treatment or disposal. The particulate material from (d) may be delivered to a bin 83 and disposed of in sanitary landfills or utilized as aggregate in concrete. The slurry from (d) may be returned to sewage line 75, to sewage plant aeration tank 81 or to dewatering filter 110 # (a) filter cake for composting or for incineration in 114, and (b) liquid for return to sewage line 75 or for recycling to junk remover 50 or to sewage plant aeration tank 81. The metals from (e) may be separated into magnetic and non-magnetic metals and may be salvaged, buried or used as aggregates.
