Реферат: 295,313. Soc. Civile pour l'Etude de la Photographie et de la CinÚmatographie en Couleurs. Aug. 9, 1927, [Convention date]. Three-colour systems.-In the reproduction by optical projection-printing of colour record images made on lenticular films, moire or watered effects in the copy, due to diffraction effects arising between the two lenticular films or between the source of light and the original film, are eliminated by employing as the projection system a punctiform or linear source of light A, a condenser B, the film C to be reproduced, an objective D identical with that used in the taking of the film C, a movable diaphragm d in this objective, and a second objective E of large aperture designed to project on a blank lenticular film F an image of the same size as the original on film C. The condenser B is so placed as to produce an image of the source of light A in the plane of the diaphragm d, the aperture of which is such as to pass only the central image of the light-source and to exclude lateral diffraction spectra. The source of light and the diaphragm are moved in unision as by operatively connected levers so as to sweep the whole pupil of the objective, or the. source of light remains stationary and its image is moved by means of mirrors or prisms so that it moves in unison with the diaphragm d. Images made on films of the multicolour line or grain screen type may be similarly reproduced on blank films of the same type, but in this case the image of the source of light and the diaphragm d remains stationary. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that, in the reproduction of images on lenticular films, if the successive diffraction spectra in the plane of the diaphragm d have gaps between them coinciding in position with the centres of the juxtaposed colour filters in the. pupil of the picture-taking objective, a stationary force of light comprising three luminous points or lines is employed so spaced as to correspond with the centres of the colour filters of the picture-taking objective, and the diaphragm d is also stationary and has three holes or slots corresponding to the positions of the three central images of the three sources of light, and cutting out the lateral diffraction spectra from each source. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
