Реферат: 1290123 Carbon SIGRI ELEKTROGRAPHIT GmbH 19 April 1971 [11 March 1970] 23837/71 Heading C1A [Also in Division H5] A cooling vessel has a pair of electrodes of carbon or graphite having an accessible pore volume of less than 3% and a permeability coefficient of less than 10<SP>-3</SP> cm.<SP>2</SP>/sec., both of which terms are defined in the Specification. The electrode may be prepared by curing and carbonizing, or carbonizing and graphiting a green body comprising a mixture of pulverous carbon, a binder comprising furfuryl alcohol and a polysaccharide plasticizer, and a hardener comprising an acid halide or a hydrolysable metal halide. The plasticizer may be an etheri. fied cellulose or an alginate. Alternatively the electrode may be prepared by impregnating a carbon body with a synthetic resin or pitch and carbonizing the impregnated body. A further method comprises depositing carbon from the gaseous phase.
