Реферат: 1303317 Softening textiles KAO SOAP CO Ltd 7 April 1970 [9 April 1969] 16396/70 Heading D1P A softening agent composition for textiles comprises a mixture of an epichlorohydrin adduct of a sorbitan fatty acid mono- and/or di-ester, with an ethylene oxide adduct of a mono-, di- or tri-glyceride of 12 hydroxy stearic acid. The fatty acid may be a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid of 8-22 C atoms which is linear or branched at the α-position of the carbon chain. The mol number of the added epichlorohydrin may be 0.3-3 mols per one free hydroxyl group of the ester. The mol number of the added ethylene oxide may be 10-15 mols per 1 molecule of the glyceride. The ratio of (a) to (b) is preferably 20-80% by weight of the former Vo 80-20% by weight of the latter. The composition may be used alone in aqueous solution or may be dissolved in a resin-finishing bath to which auxilary agents may also be added. Auxiliary agents used are water soluble polymers derived from a copolymer of maleic anhydride and a copolymerizable monomer, e.g. alkali metal salts and water soluble salts, prepared by partially neutralizing with ammonia or low alkylamine, to prepare a half amide of a copolymer and neutralizing the remaining free carboxyl group of the half-amide. Examples of the copolymerizable monomer are vinyl acetate, diisobutylene, vinyl methyl ether, ethylene, acrylic acid, vinyl pyrrolidone. Examples of other water soluble polymers are sodium polyacrylate, CMC, PVA and sodium polymaleate. The water soluble polymers should have good miscibility with the softening agent and a molecular weight <10,000. The resin finishing bath may comprise a urea- or melamine-formaldehyde precondensate or a glyoxal type resin. An anionic surface active agent, e.g. alkali salt of dialkyl sulphosuccinic acid, alkylaryl sulphonic acid, N-alkaryl-N-alkyl tauric acid, mono- or di-alkyl phosphoric ester, can be incorporated in the bath to give rewettability without loss of softening to the treated textile. Materials treated are cotton/polyester, cotton/ polyvinyl alcohol and rayon/polyester.
